Testing your agent

Before publishing, use the built-in test modal to have a live conversation with your agent.
1

Click Test

Click the Test button in the top-right corner of the agent configuration page.
2

Start talking

A voice connection will be established. Speak naturally - your agent will respond in real time using your configured voice, LLM, and instructions.
3

Review the conversation

After ending the test call, review the transcript in the Conversations section. Check that:
  • The agent follows your instructions
  • The voice sounds natural
  • Tools and functions work correctly
  • The welcome message plays as expected
Test your agent with different scenarios and edge cases. Try asking off-topic questions, interrupting the agent, and testing tool invocations.

Publishing your agent

Publishing makes your agent available for deployment via phone numbers, widgets, and demo links.
1

Review configuration

Ensure all required settings are filled in:
  • Instructions are written
  • A voice is selected
  • An LLM model is selected
  • Language settings are compatible with your voice selection
2

Click Publish

Click the Publish button. Sonara validates your configuration and publishes the agent.
3

Verify status

A success indicator confirms your agent is published. If there are validation errors (missing fields, incompatible settings), they’ll be displayed for you to fix.
